Do you often feel
frustrated that you are not achieving your goals? When last have you invested
five days in looking at what you really want and how you can achieve it? The
Odyssey Program can help you close the gap between your expectations and your
current reality by learning and applying the Theory of Constraints' thinking
processes to your life. We are excited to announce that this year's Odyssey
5-day Freshman and 3-day Alumni programs will again be held back-to-back from
30 July to 6 August in Israel, in honour of the late dr. Eli Goldratt, the
visionary behind the idea of Theory of Constraints (TOC) and the founder of the
Odysssey program, initially developed by dr. Goldratt to teach critical
thinking skills based on TOC thinking processes to young adults. These skills
are necessary to investigate expectation gaps and related conflicts and
identify how to close these gaps by identifying and challenging limiting
assumptions – not only in an organizational or industrial context, as TOC
maintains, but also in our personal lives. Even if you are not knowledgeable in
TOC, or have never heard of it before, you will find that this program will
help you answer the important questions of why you should change, what you
could change, and how to cause and measure this change whilst achieving ongoing
improvement in the process to achieving your life’s goals. The venue for our
program is the Herods Hotel, situated on the beach of Tel Aviv - a vibrant,
modern city that is architecturally known for its buildings in the
Bauhaus-style that originated in early twentieth-century Germany, but situated
in a country with ancient roots and many significant archeological sites to
visit, such as neighboring port Jaffa, one of the most ancient towns in the
world. This international conference, which brings together participants from
around the world, will help you see through sharing that the world really is
"flat” after all – that we all experience similar life challenges, no matter
where we are from or how far down the journey of life we are. Past experience
has shown that this is also a place where lifelong friendships are established
among like-minded people. We also invite those attending the Freshman Program
to join past attendees for the Alumni Program (that will immediately follow the
Freshman Program). The concept and content of the Alumni program was developed
by Dr. Eli Goldratt, designed in a way which builds upon skills learned in the
Freshman Program, challenging and guiding the newly graduated and past Alumni
to make a major breakthrough in an important topic where no major advance has
been made recently, relevant to both our personal and professional lives.
Please keep in mind that space is limited for both programs and reservations
will be accepted on a first-come, first served basis through our website, www.theodysseyprogram.org. We look
forward to seeing you there! Dr. Alan Barnard Chairman, Odyssey Institute
