Dr. Lisa Ferguson presents Discussion of "My Year with Dr. Eli Goldratt"

About the Webinar:  Eliyahu M. Goldratt's (1947 to 2011) goal in life was to teach the world to think. This goal led him to create a 'Unified Field Theory of Management,' and philosophy of life named the Theory of Constraints (TOC). TOC has touched the lives of millions of people and thousands of organizations worldwide in a very positive way. Dr. Eli Goldratt was an educator, philosopher, business guru and best-selling author of "The Goal," a novel which has sold over 4 million copies worldwide. It is required reading in many, if not most, business schools and is listed as one of the top 100 best business books of all time. Lisa Anne Ferguson, PhD, was Eli's apprentice for a year ending in 2008. This webinar consists of a discussion of the latest draft of part of her book describing that year. Professor Ferguson decided to write it to enable you to know Eli, the man behind the legend, and the greatest life lessons she learned from her time with him about how to live a more meaningful/full life. During this webinar, Professor Ferguson will share more of her writing and highlight some of the most important lessons she learned from Eli about life which are explained through stories of humor and drama in her book. Participants will receive the first chapter of the latest draft of the book before the event and have the opportunity to submit questions and/or comments to Dr. Ferguson prior to and during the webinar which may be selected for discussion, followed by a second chapter after the event.

About the Presenter:  Dr. Ferguson is the author of the chapter on TSTTs in the TOC Handbook (with a focus on describing some of the key content of the strategic implementation plan for retailers). Professor Ferguson was the apprentice to Eliyahu M. Goldratt, the founder of TOC, from 2007 to 2008. She was a full-time professor of operations management in a university business school for a decade.
