Mr. Fox has spent 50+ working to develop improvement methodologies. His work was recognized by the establishment of the Fox Award for Excellence given to individuals and organizations that have achieved significant, sustained and measureable bottom line improvements. Winners of the Fox Award for lifetime Achievements include such luminaries as Steven Covey, Peter Senge, Joel Barker and Dr. James Holt.
He was intimately involved with Eli Goldratt in the development of the Theory of Constraints (TOC). His recent efforts have drawn on his years of experience to hone an improvement methodology that embodies TOC, Lean and Six Sigma into a powerful, but simple and comprehensive approach. It’s value and universality has been demonstrated in both "for profit” companies and a host of "not for profits”, including several state governments.
His formal education includes an engineering degree from Notre Dame and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon Universities. His informal education includes experiences as a foreman in a steel mill, as a Vice President of Manufacturing, as a General Manager, as a Partner in an International consulting firm and as a founder of three organizations – The Goldratt Institute, The TOC Center and Viable Vision, LLC.
He has lectured and written extensively on improvement techniques and has co-authored The Theory of Constraints Journal, the Race, and Profitability with no Boundaries plus and a soon to be published anthology about organizations that have excelled by capitalizing on improvement concepts.
