What's our goal? To provide industry, organizations, and individuals with an international basis to recognize their level of expertise in the Theory of Constraints (TOC).  TOCICO is dedicated to growing the adoption of the Theory of Constraints (TOC) by everyone!  The mission of TOCICO is to be the primary source of knowledge and education pathways for TOC practitioners - with member resources and professional certifications recognized worldwide - no matter where you start your TOC journey.

There are 3 Levels of TOC Certification:

TOCICO offers three levels of professional certification: Level 1 Fundamentals Certification for the basic knowledge, Level 2 Practitioner Certification for more advanced knowledge, and Level 3 Implementer Certification for those who actually apply TOC in their own work.  For an overview of our certification marks, watch this webinar.

• Level 1 (L1) TOC Fundamentals Certified (TOCFC™) — individuals demonstrate their recognition and understanding of TOC’s basic concepts and terminology, either for TOC overall, or in a specific TOC Solution area by passing any L1 exam.

• Level 2 (L2) TOC Practitioner Certified (TOCPC™) — individuals demonstrate the ability to apply, analyze, and evaluate the knowledge of TOC in a specific TOC Solution area by passing any L2 exam.

• Level 3 (L3) TOC Implementer Certified (TOCIC™) — individuals demonstrate extended thinking in applying TOC in their own work, in a specific TOC Solution area by passing any L3 assessment.
  

There are 2 Pathways for TOC Certification:

TOCICO offers two distinct pathways for certification: (1) Single certification for specialists in one TOC solution area and (2) Multi-certification for generalists pursuing overall TOC knowledge.

Single Certification Pathway: The single certification pathway is tailored for individuals with an interest in a specific TOC solution area. Whether it be Production and Operations Management, Supply Chain Logistics, Critical Chain Project Management, Thinking Processes or Finance and Measures, candidates can focus exclusively on their chosen area. This pathway streamlines the learning process, allowing candidates to focus just on the content of their specific area of interest. By successfully completing a specialty L1 Fundamentals exam, candidates demonstrate the recognition and understanding of the basic terms and concepts of that TOC Solution area, enabling them to proceed to a more advanced L2 Practitioner Exam, in that specific TOC Solution area.

Multi-Certification Pathway: The multi-certification pathway is ideal for individuals who aspire to achieve certifications across multiple TOC solution areas. This pathway begins with the Level 1 TOC Fundamentals Exam, serving as a foundational step that satisfies prerequisites for undertaking any of the Level 2 TOC Practitioner Exams. By successfully completing the overall L1 Fundamentals exam, candidates demonstrate the recognition and understanding of the basic terms and concepts, tools and techniques, and core principles of TOC, enabling them to advance to more specialized L2 Practitioner Exams in any TOC solution area.
