Production and Operations Management Fundamentals Certification (TOCFC™)

The POM Fundamentals Exam offers a globally recognized certification for those who demonstrate a clear, foundational understanding of the TOC core beliefs, concepts and principles for Production and Operations Management. This certification is also the first step toward earning advanced credentials as a Certified Practitioner or Certified Implementer in Production and Operations Management. Upon passing, you’ll become TOC Fundamentals Certified (TOCFC™) in POM and receive a digital certificate.

Objective: Demonstrate recognition and understanding of foundational production and operations concepts, including the Five Focusing Steps, constraints, Drum-Buffer-Rope (DBR/SDBR), and core TOC philosophy and Thinking Processes.

Buffer Management / Measurement / Rope / Buffer / Network
 

Objective: Demonstrate recognition and understanding of key TOC production and operations concepts including buffer management, measurement, and the use of Rope, Buffers, and Network principles.

Wider Applications (4CF, Lean, CCPM, MTS, MTO/MTA, Distribution)

Objective: Demonstrate recognition and understanding of TOC applications across various environments, including 4-Category Flows, Lean, Critical Chain Project Management, make-to-stock/make-to-order/make to assemble, and distribution systems.
